Welcome to LOCORA ("we," "us," or "the Marketplace"). By using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use.
1. About the Marketplace
LOCORA is a local classified marketplace for Vancouver Island, British Columbia. We connect buyers and sellers but do not facilitate payments, shipping, or escrow. All transactions are arranged directly between users.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter contracts in British Columbia. You must provide accurate registration information.
3. Prohibited Content
The following are strictly prohibited:
- Sexual services or adult content
- Illegal goods, stolen property, or counterfeit items
- Weapons, drugs, or regulated substances without proper authorization
- Items that violate any applicable law in Canada or British Columbia
- Spam, scams, or misleading listings
We reserve the right to remove listings and deactivate accounts that violate these rules.
4. Listings & Profile/Shops
When you register, you create a unique profile/shop name or use your real name. Your profile/shop name becomes your public page URL. Free accounts may list up to 5 active items. Additional listings and expanded photo options may be available for a fee as configured by administrators.
Each listing requires at least one photo (up to 5). You are responsible for the accuracy of your listings.
5. Messaging
All buyer-seller communication must occur through the Marketplace messaging system. Users must have an account and accept these terms before messaging sellers.
6. Payments & Transactions
We do not process payments. Buyers and sellers arrange payment and pickup locally at their own risk. We are not a party to any transaction between users.
7. Account Termination
We may suspend or deactivate accounts that violate these terms. Administrators may message users regarding account status.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Marketplace is provided "as is." We are not liable for disputes between users, item quality, or safety incidents arising from in-person meetings.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes may require re-acceptance.
